The park we now call Walibi Holland opened in 1971 on a polder in Flevoland under the name Flevohof — an agricultural and educational park, in the newest part of the Netherlands. It only became a 'proper' theme park in 1994, and only got the Walibi Holland name in 2010, after being taken over by the Compagnie des Alpes.
